Highest EV charging Station In Himachal

It is the feeling of pride to India that we are having the highest electric vehicle charging station in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. It is in the town Kaze which is the subdivisional headquarters of the remote Spiti Valley in the western Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti district of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is set up by the goEgoNetwork which is a Pune-based company. goEgoNetwork is the pioneer of the EV charging ecosystem in India. We are committed to continuous growth to build a robust and reliable network of high-quality charging stations throughout the country - built and serviced entirely under the Make in India initiative. We envision keeping your electric vehicles charged up while you shop, eat, work or relax with ease and simplicity. The company has set up two EV chargers for two and four-wheelers in Kaza, some 350 km from here.

Why Himachal Pradesh?

Himachal Pradesh is a hilly area where we do not find flat or cemented roads. Everything in these areas is at a high peak. It is very difficult for the existing people to do work without a hassle-free environment. An electric vehicle which is a demand of the current scenario is the cheapest mode of driving in a mountain area but the problem is with the charging station. Now the government has taken the right action of setting two charging stations in Kaza. Increasing population is also the main cause of having charging stations.

Mahendra Pratap Singh, Kaza Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) said, "Today two women have come from Manali to Kaza on the electric vehicle to promote a sustainable environment. The weather nowadays is changing abruptly due to an increase in air pollution and the emission of gases from vehicles is one of the main causes of this pollution."

Sub-Divisional Magistrate Views

Subdivisional Magistrate Mahender Partap Singh told IANS over the phone that tourists often complain of the lack of EV charging stations in the Spiti Valley. "This is the first station in the valley. If the station gets a good response, more such stations would be set up. It will also help check vehicular pollution," he said.

Green Growing India is entering the life of everyone. It is respectful we love the environment and taking care of the world.
