First Maruti Suzuki Toyotsue vehicle scrapping unit opens in Noida!

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota Tsusho Group have set up a vehicle scrapping and recycling facility in Noida. Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari cut the ribbon recently for its inauguration.

Maruti Suzuki Toyotsu India Pvt. Ltd. (MSTI) is widespread across 10,993 sq. mt. of area. Almost Rs. 44 crores were invested to build this unit. This unit has the facility and capacity to scrap 2,000 vehicles per month easily. On average, it takes around 200 minutes to recycle one vehicle completely.

The best feature of this unit is that it uses domestically produced machinery. It is built with adherence to all environmental guidelines and even has the equipment to scan for radioactive materials. The unit can recover up to 95% of scrap which will be further sold to the authorized recycles for their recycling.

MSTI is the first government-approved scrapping facility for end-of-life vehicles.

The Indian government is planning to set up at least 200-300 such units within a couple of years across the nation.

Such kinds of Vehicle scrapping units are the initial steps to pace up the government's Scrappage Policy. They will be helpful in the recycling of vehicles that are no more in use.
