9th Edition of 21 Gun Salute Rally was commenced in New Delhi, India from 15th Feb to 16th Feb 2020. Many of the automakers took part in this rally which was organized by auto enthusiasts. One of the top automobile manufacturers MG Motor India had showcased several classic cars that are owned by enthusiasts.
Reinforcing the brand's strong British history and dedication towards MG classic automobile owners in India, a procession of MG classic cars was flagged off from India Gate in the direction of Gurugram, with MG's first-ever automobile model, a 1924 MGA, leading the rally
The event was supported by the MG Car Club (MGCC) from the UK which enabled the owners of MG Classics in India to connect with the nearly 100-year-old clubs.
MG has a rich legacy in India for approx 100 years and it became world-famous with its two-door coupes and roadsters. The classic British Luxury marquee in India has a good number of classic car owners and some of them collaborate and attended the event. They shared their stories and experiences with the MG and their support for the much sought after a legacy of the British Brand.
Mr. Adam Sloman, General Manager of MG Car Club (MGCC) UK, said that connection with past MG owners in India helped us in strengthening the bond between the global MG communities. He added that it feels great to hear the stories of MG Classic vehicle owners and to see some of the most iconic and rare models like MGB, MG Midget and MGA which signifies the strong heritage of MG cars in India.
MG Car Club (MGCC) was founded in 1930 in UK and it is one of the oldest clubs in the world. This club has over 50,000 members from all over the world. This club connects the auto enthusiasts and the owners of the classic MG cars and also provides the support in sourcing spares parts for the classic cars and connect the customers to the classic cars spare parts suppliers.
