New Delhi, April 1, 2019: TVS Motor on Friday announced that the company has introduced Synchronized Braking Technology (SBT) in its executive commuter motorcycle - TVS Victor with price starting from Rs 54,682 (ex-showroom Delhi) and a disc variant that carries a price tag of Rs. 56,682.
The new TVS Victor SBT comes in Disc, Drum and Premium variants.
As per the new norm, every two-wheeler up to 125cc should come equipped with a CBS (Combined braking system) and the vehicles with more than 125cc engine should be sold with an ABS system.
The key advantage of SBT is that it reduces the braking distance and improves stability, while braking. SBT also ensures that the front brake is automatically engaged whenever the rear brake is applied.
TVS SBT further enhances the braking performance of the vehicle, by reducing braking distance upto 10 per cent, with respect to comparable braking systems, the company said in a release.
It also said that other than the inclusion of SBT, there are no technical changes to the motorcycle.
TVS Victor comes with 110cc engine and is powered by an advanced 3-valve Oil cooled engine tuned for 9.3 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9.4 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. It is also equipped with electric start and 4-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle is available in the 4 colour options – Black Gold, Red Gold, Matte Blue & Matte Silver.
