India, March 29, 2019 : BMW India has launched the 530i M Sport priced at Rs. 59.20 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The M-Sport package is a first for the BMW 5 series petrol variant. The 530i is produced locally at the BMW Group plant in Chennai, India and now follows to the strict BS VI norms as well.
The new 530i features BMW’s M Sport exterior package, which includes sportier front and rear bumpers with gloss black detailing on the kidney grille and fog lamp housing, an M aerodynamics package with side skirts and front and rear aprons, 18-inch M design alloy wheels further emphasize the sporty appeal. Inside, you get leather sport seats and aluminium trim pieces with chrome highlights. You also get M leather steering wheel, illuminated M door sills and M Sport brakes with blue callipers bearing the M logo.
This new variant gets the BMW Display Key that allows drivers to keep in contact with their car round the clock. There is also gesture control, wireless charging, remote control parking and surround view camera. The 530i M-Sport also gets a Comfort Access System which allows keyless entry and boot lid opening with just a wave of the foot under the rear bumper.
The 2-litre 4 cylinder petrol engine makes 252bhp with a maximum torque of 350Nm at 1,450 and 4,800rpm. The car accelerates from 0-100kmph in 6.2 seconds and 8 speed automatic transmission helps the car in changing up and down quickly. The new BMW 530i M Sport is available in Alpine White (non-metallic) and in the following metallic paintworks: Black Sapphire, Mediterranean Blue and Bluestone Metallic.
