New Delhi, March 27, 2019 : Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd (PVPL) on Wednesday has introduced three-wheeler CNG product range for Rourkela market.
This CNG range includes Ape’ City, three-wheeler passenger category- Ape’ Auto DX, and three-wheeler cargo category- Ape Xtra LDX, and Ape’Xtra LDX+ with industry first 6ft. cargo deck, available at lowest down payment and with striking finance options.
The launch of the new range of CNG vehicles is a planned initiative from Piaggio to emphasize its commitment of providing path-breaking solutions in the last mile transportation segment for its customers in Odisha, the company said in a statement.
Saju Nair, Head, CV Business, Piaggio India said, “The alternate fuel technology is growing day by day in our country and hence to cater to the market’s changing needs we have introduced this new range of CNG vehicles for the Rourkela market. Piaggio is market leader in 3 wheeler category in Rourkela and with this new range of vehicles we are confident of maintaining and further strengthening our leadership in CNG segment as well.”
With this new CNG range of products, running cost will be almost half of that of petrol autos. As per the company, the new CNG range of vehicles will meet the growing demand for commercial vehicle mobility solutions particularly suited to intra-city travel in Odisha.
Malind Kapur, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Channel Development, Piaggio Vehicles said, “Setting up of CNG stations in Rourkela under Urja Ganga project will further strengthen the small commercial vehicle industry in Rourkela. For Rourkela market we have designed a special exchange schemes for old petrol and diesel auto rickshaws which have completed their legal age.”
“We also have tie-ups with nationalised banks for the benefit of our customers. With this CNG infrastructure, lot of auto rickshaws will now adopt and convert to CNG in a big way in Rourkela and I see many new opportunities for us in the coming future,” he added.
As per the company, the government's focus on growing CNG infrastructure will not only lower the operating cost but also increase earning skills for the drivers. The new CNG station at Rourkela is strategically located to satisfy the needs of old diesel and petrol customers wishing to convert to CNG due to its better benefits.
