India, February 21, 2019 : Yamaha Motor India has launched the 2019 MT-09 motorcycle in India. This motorcycle is priced at Rs. 10.55 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it gives competition the Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple 765 and Ducati Monster 821. This new version is Rs. 16,000 expensive than the earlier version.
The new model features a new 'Ice Fluo' colour scheme (white and red combination) that replaced 'Night Fluo' (grey/blue/black and full black options) seen on the 2018 model. The MT-09 is brought down to India by a CBU route and dealers have started accepting bookings.
The 2019 motorcycle is powered by a 847cc, inline-3-cylinder engine that makes 115 HP and 87.5 Nm of torque. The MT-09 gets a one-way quick-shifter while the engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine gets 3 different modes, ABS unit and traction control system. The overall design remains largely the same with the twin-pod LED headlamps.
