New Delhi, January 21, 2019 : German carmaker BMW launched its all new X4 SUV in India on Monday with price starting from Rs 60.6 lakh (ex-showroom). Locally produced at BMW GroupPlant in Chennai, the new luxury SUV will be available in diesel and petrol variants at all BMW dealerships across India from today onwards, the company said in a release.
Based on the X3 platform, the diesel variant has two options - BMW X4 xDrive20d M Sport X and the BMW X4 xDrive30d M Sport X and in one petrol variant – the BMW X4 xDrive30i M Sport X. Petrol engine is a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder generating 252 hp and 350 Nm torque. Diesel engine on board the xDrive20d is a 2 liter 4 cylinder mill generating 190hp and 400 Nm while on board the xDrive30d, there is a more powerful 3 liter 6 cylinder mill generating 195 hp and 620 Nm.

Its distinctive vehicle concept, which combines the hallmark features of a BMW X model with the sporting elegance of a coupé, will be proven an instant hit in this class and will become a trend-setter".
The SUV comes in a M Sport X design and features the 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission which is available with steering wheel paddle shifters that ensures smooth driving. On the safety front, the car is equipped with six airbags along with attentiveness assistance, dynamic stability control (DSC) which includes cornering brake control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic.
