Honda has been mulling over the advent of the HR-V in India for some years now. Now, the five-seater SUV is likely to be launched in India by Feb 2020, possibly across the festive season. The HR-V is a mid-size SUV that allows you to come as a rival to the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, and Renault Duster and will be located above the slow-moving BR-V in Honda India's lineup.
Expected Launch Date: Feb 2020 (Dates may vary)
Expected Price: Rs. 12 L (Ex-Showroom)
The first-gen HR-V was introduced in the year 1999 and the second-generation came around 2014. The current version is a facelift that was launched in the year 2016 within the ASEAN markets and this is the version so that you can make its way to India. Its miles based on the identical platform as the City and Jazz and measures 4295x1770x1605mm in size. The HR-V has a wheelbase of 2610mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm. Appearances wise, the modern-day iteration of the HR-V is a good-looking vehicle. It sports Honda’s new design language as visible on the CR-V.
In the interior, the dashboard is familiar as visible on other Hondas. The device cluster and steering wheel are the same as the one used in the Jazz. The rest of the dashboard is similar to the City and Civic with a familiar infotainment system and center console. Being an international product, the 5-seater is decently loaded in terms of features. Since it'll compete with the Creta, it will sport all of the bells and whistle predicted in that segment.
The key specifications of Honda HR-V include:
